Would You Like to Host an Exhibition?

As an artist, one of the most rewarding experiences is seeing your work connect with others in a meaningful way. Since the debut of my documentary photography series Then When in September 2024, I’ve witnessed how art can open hearts, spark conversations, and offer healing. Now, I’m reaching out to ask if you or your organization would be interested in hosting this exhibition.

When I held my first exhibition of my documentary photography series Then When in September 2024, I could never have imagined the impact it would have. At the time, I was already struggling to organize the event. A “sales exhibition” would have been more profitable, but that didn’t feel right. I was determined to showcase this particular series because it felt authentic and meaningful.

I had no way of predicting how people would respond to the exhibition. Even at the opening, I was moved by how many visitors came forward to share their own stories and personal experiences. I found myself holding back tears more than once, and yes, a few did slip down my cheeks. Over the next month, I received an outpouring of messages from people, each expressing how the exhibition had touched them. It resonated deeply with those who had lost loved ones, but also with others who saw it as a reminder to start living fully, right now—not “Then when…”

One of the most meaningful outcomes was receiving contact from a woman who works in palliative care. She expressed an interest in collaborating, and it feels incredibly valuable and purposeful to me. Together, we are now planning to take the exhibition to various locations, creating spaces where people can come together for comfort, reflection, and support.

If you know of any organizations or venues that would be interested in hosting the exhibition, please don’t hesitate to reach out. My email is info@sarisandberg.com. In my Portfolio page you can find more information about my Then when project and photos too.

No one should have to face grief alone.
