PORTRAIT STORIES

How I become a professional photographer

Photo about me Sari Sandberg in milieu, frosty early morning.

When I was studying to become professional photographer, at the school we aimed to build series of photos, not only one good photo in our minds. How are we going to get variations, different frames of the same situations and of course lighting to match the wanted style. I have spent hours of practicing, just because I love what I am doing.

My target with the school was, that I will become product photographer. At that time I was working in the art gallery and one of my task was to photograph exhibitions and art pieces to a city’s achieve.

Further my school went and when we went through different themes, I noticed I love all of them, milieu photography inside and outside, landscape, product and top of the all people. I was surprised that I totally felt in love photographing people. It took me a while to understand my superpower, which is posing. I have been wanna-be-dancer my whole life and I have practice to get silhouettes look nice from fingertips to toes.

This page I will be writing stories about portraits photography and sharing my point of view.
