26.2.2020.
I photographed a product series for my photography studies at the beginning of 2020, and I chose toilet paper as my subject. In a couple of weeks, the COVID era began, and my photo series became inflated. I never ended up publishing it.
There’s something very symbolic in how the context around a project can change its meaning. At the time, toilet paper became almost a symbol of the pandemic. The way people hoarded toilet paper during the early days of the pandemic turned it into an almost absurd symbol of fear and uncertainty.
